In 1998, our owner and founder Christopher Arcidiacono was ejected from the family suburban after a catastrophic roll-over accident while returning to Houston with his family from their summer vacation. He suffered a traumatic brain injury and was in a coma for two months, during which time his family was told he would never walk, talk or live normally again. Christopher defied all odds.

One of the neurosurgeons who worked with him at the time of his accident still says that Christopher’s story makes the little hairs on her back stand up. Before his accident, Christopher was an all-star student and athlete with immense inner drive, a big heart and a large circle of friends. After his accident and rehabilitation, life became a struggle. In his mid-twenties, he found himself surrounded by a rough crowd in which alcohol only fueled the chaos.

Christopher decided to break away from it all, stop drinking and spend time focusing on himself and the losses he never got to grieve after his accident (in the same accident that caused Christopher’s brain injury, he lost his beloved brother, Johnny.) Christopher’s recovery made him realize that being alone was better than being in bad company. But good company? That’s the best of all.

As he sought to find and create a good company, he came up with the idea from which ChristoMio was born: a gathering place for people to spend time together and enjoy others’ company in an alcohol-free environment.

At ChristoMio, we strive to supply a sincere source to the vitality found in farms, locally crafted provisions, and the finest ingredients that allow life to be lived at its most optimal, and its most restorative.Our food and beverages are crafted by our expert team, sourced with only the purest ingredients, with nothing ever artificial. We have collaborated with local roasters, tonic crafters, farmers and merchantiles to provide the nutrients that not only heal the body but nourish the soul. We pride ourselves on the ability to accommodate all lifestyles, dietary restrictions, and individual needs to meet each person where they are and bring them to somewhere better.
